Taking a breather before the exciting rush of preparing Halloween treats for a fun-filled night of Trick or Treating with my adorable granddaughter, Charlie Joy, I just wanted to drop in and say…
“Happy Fall, Y’all!”
Autumn has this eternal place in my heart. The vibrant colors, that crisp sweater weather, the pumpkin artistry (whether carving or painting), visits to cider mills, and indulging in scrumptious (gluten-free) donuts – it’s a season that truly warms my soul!
I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to immerse myself in the breathtaking colors that adorn the trees. And let’s not forget the pure joy of strolling through that brisk fall air, bundled up in those cozy boots and sweaters. I mean, who can resist the allure of boots and sweaters, right?
Cuddling up on the couch with a steaming beverage is a cherished autumn tradition. Whether it’s a café mocha with a hint of mint, rich hot chocolate, or a comforting warm apple cider, the choices are absolutely delightful. There’s something enchanting about watching mini marshmallows melt or gently swirling a cinnamon stick in your cup, warming both your body and spirit. And sharing these moments with loved ones by a bonfire? It’s an experience to savor, a chance to slow down and relish the intoxicating fall air.
Autumn embodies change, whether you’re a season enthusiast or not. The weather takes a turn, the season transitions, and clocks “fall back” (at least here in Michigan). Change is all around us, urging shifts in our attitudes and perspectives, and nudging us to focus on gratitude. (A true reminder to myself: this mindset should endure beyond just this season.)
In moments of change, I find my strength and courage through faith. There’s no need to resist or avoid change when we place our trust in the constancy of God. He remains unchanging even as life evolves, and He will continue to guide us through it all.
I’m curious, do you love Fall as much as I do? What upcoming changes are you anticipating or preparing for in this new season?
I know I am blessed far more than I could ever deserve. Thank You, God, for Your endless blessings.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NIV
